More with the random

What can I say?  Some days I can think of witty titles, some days I can't.  But I figured it was time to update you all with the random stuff that's been going on. 1.  I'll start with the coolest thing.  I have a new wholesale customer.  If you're in the Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan …

Like I’m not already a picky enough eater

Back in January Donna left a comment regarding migraine and gluten intolerance.  I looked into it a bit but got kind of distracted so didn’t read that much about it.  Then last month someone else mentioned it to me.  Ok, time to really look into it. I found that celiac disease has 250-300 symptoms.  It’s …

Wow, a new year already, huh?

I’ve actually been meaning to write for a couple of weeks, but I’ve been so busy doing stuff, I haven’t had time to write about it.  Some people are able to make time for both, and I envy them, but my brain doesn’t seem to be constructed that way.  And so, of course, the more …

I am thankful

A while ago Jennifer suggested writing a gratitude list with at least 100 things you’re grateful for.  I liked that idea, so here, now on Thanksgiving, is my list. I am thankful… that I have a roof over my head. that I have clean running water. that I have a working furnace. that I have …

A quick update (because that’s all I have the energy for)

So last week I got the second set of botox injections.  I think they actually worked this time.  Hard to tell, because now I’ve got bronchitis, and I’ve had a few headaches just from coughing.  I don’t think they were migraines though.  But, um, yeah, all I’ve been good for the last few days is …

Hey, is that a quarter behind your ear?

Ok, so I haven’t really found a way to make money just materialize (though I do pick up pennies off the sidewalk.  Maybe no one else can be bothered, but hey, it’s money.  I’ll take it).  Since my post on poverty, more ways to save money have presented themselves to me, so I thought I’d …

Blog Action Day 2008

As some of you may remember, I wrote a post for Blog Action Day last year when the theme was the Environment.  That was easy.  I had a lot to say about that.  This year they emailed me to tell me the theme was Poverty.  I had to think a bit.  Did I have something …

Conjoined twin grapes

Ok, I usually don’t post more than once a day, but after my last post I went to have lunch, and look what I found. Yes, it’s organic.  It just grew funny.  Two grapes grew off the same stem. They’re conjoined twins. Cool!  And yummy!

Oh, you want an update of what I’ve been doing?

Yeah, I thought so.  I haven't been a very good blogger lately.  I've been doing stuff, but not showing you.  What fun is that? So.  It's Show and Tell Day here at Acme Acres.  First off, I finished my punk grrl socks.  They rock, as they should. Now that the bus socks are finished, the …

A New Year

I realized today that my plan to have a vegan diet except for the honey in my tea and whatever was in a piece of birthday cake someone handed me just wasn't going to work.  I'd been feeling kind of hypocritical about it lately anyway, even though it's not like I planned on going to …
