Burwick is a small village and harbor in South Ronaldsay, the southernmost of the Orkney Islands, just off the northern tip of mainland Scotland. It’s also the name of this tam. The lower band of “bars” represent piers in the harbor. The motifs that follow represent the heather that grows near there, first at mid-range, and then in a close up view.
This is our second design by Diane Zangl, and I think it’s going to be just as much of a hit as her Bird’s Eye Shawl. Knit in Happy Fuzzy Yarn Merino Mono in Margaret and Macaw, it will warm your head and your spirits!
