Snakecharmer Socks

designed by Riin Gill

These top down socks are a delight to knit and to wear. Cables and reverse stockinette in a checkerboard pattern mix up the colors of the yarn and provide a stretchy fabric that fits well.
These socks are very stretchy and elastic, allowing each size to fit a range of measurements. Instructions are given for Women’s S, M, and L.

Chemo treatments left me with painful feet. I designed this sock to ease tender soles, and to knit some therapy for my soul. Sample shown is size Small/Medium. One sock was knit on dpns and one on circular needles. Directions are given for both.

Starry Night Socks

designed by Riin Gill

One of my favorite paintings is Vincent van Gogh’s Starry Night. I thought it would be fun to interpret it in sock form. The socks don’t really look at all like the painting, but they still remind me of it.

You will need to pay attention to the chart while you’re knitting these; it’s not a pattern you can memorize. There are some long stretches between colors, and you need to catch the floats loosely so the socks still stretch.

Triangulation socks

designed by Riin Gill

A sock pattern in three sizes, using Happy Fuzzy Yarn Corrie Sock (hand dyed fingering weight sock yarn) and size 1 needles, it uses modular knitting and a little bit of sewing but not much (I avoid seams at all costs, so believe me, the sewing is kept to the absolute minimum). Includes detailed step by step instructions and a chart.
