I’m sitting in Ann Arbor and it’s snowing. It kind of took me by surprise, though it shouldn’t have. Yesterday was Thanksgiving, after all. But yesterday was warm. Today the weather is saying, “Uh, hi, yeah, remember me? I’m winter, and you’d better get ready for me or I will kick your ass.”
That’s a stark reminder that winter holidays are right around the corner, and woolly things to help keep you and your loved ones warm are a good way to say, “I love you. Don’t get frostbite.”
If you’re in or near southeast Michigan, you’ll have the chance to buy lots of woolly things, including my handspun yarn, and my hats, shawls, and scarves, at the Spinners Flock Holiday Fair tomorrow at Matthaei Botanical Garden in Ann Arbor.
I’ve been in the Spinner’s Flock for years, and it’s an amazing group of extremely talented people, so come if you can.
If you can’t make it tomorrow, I’ll be having my 2nd annual Open House/Holiday Sale next Saturday, December 1, 10am-4pm. I prefer not to publish my home address on the internet because there are crazy people, so if you’d like to come, be sure you’re on my email list for my newsletters.
And if you’re nowhere near Ann Arbor, not to fret! I’m still having my sale in my online shop through the end of this month. Use the coupon code GRATITUDE to save 20% off all orders of $50 or more.
Ok, I need to get back to preparing for the sale. Remember, wool = love!
