STITCHES Midwest and a Pattern

Are you going to STITCHES Midwest? I’ll be there! Come see me at booth 327. I’ve been busily dyeing, spinning, and carding, so there will be lots of new stuff! My newest yarn may still be a little damp, but you don’t mind, do you?

My photo area is totally buried right now, so here’s something slightly less recent.

It’s called “Macaw.” Did you know a macaw once kissed me? True story. I used to work in a bead store, and one of our regular customers had birds. One day she brought her macaw into the store, and it kissed me. I felt so honored!

But I digress…

Do you love my handspun yarn, but you’re not sure what to do with it?

Sarah E. White of Knitting.about.com wrote an article about my handspun yarn, and she included a free pattern that’s very simple and looks really cool! Check it out!

Have you been following my Local Wool Project? There are 17 days left to contribute. As of this writing, I’ve had 35 contributors! Thank you all so much! I’ve still got a ways to go though, so if you’ve been thinking about contributing but haven’t yet, I hope you will!

And now I’ve got more carding to do!
