Videos and needles and knitweave, oh my!

Ok, kinda random today…

Want to see a video with my studio in it? (It’s a mess, but we’ll get to that.) I entered a one minute video in a contest where the grand prize is a personal assistant for 6 months. I explain in the video why I could really use a personal assistant. One of the reasons is I need someone to help me organize my studio. You can look at it here. Please vote for my video! You can vote every 24 hours. Vote early and vote often! Just remember, the more I have someone helping me, the more yarn and fiber I can dye and the more patterns I can design! You’d like that, right?

I’ve got single and double pointed bamboo knitting needles in the shop now. Circular needles are on order. Soon, my pretties, soon…

Are there any machine knitters reading this? I’m trying to figure out how to do knitweave with ribbing. I think there is a way, but I’ll be damned if I can figure out how to do it, and I can’t find any tutorials for it. I can do the first row, but then where does the working end of the weaving yarn go? I’m confused. Alternately, is there some other way to knitweave so the weaving yarn shows on both sides of the fabric and it doesn’t roll? Help!

Speaking of weaving, if you have a rigid heddle loom and you haven’t watched Interweave’s new Weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom video, go! Download it now! It is awesome.

And speaking of learning, there’s still space in my beginning knitting class, which starts tomorrow night. Hope to see you there!

There was probably something else, but I can’t remember what it was. Maybe the wizard has a brain for me?
